The following post is just a collection of tracks that have used MJ samples, just to show how much of an influence he had on nearly every genre of music.
'Jay-Z - Izzo (H.O.V.A.)' Sample Credit 'Jackson 5 - I Want You Back'
'Nas - It Ain't Hard To Tell' Sample Credit 'Michael Jackson - Human Nature'
'Ghostface Killah (Feat. Sun God) - Street Opera' Sample Credit 'Michael Jackson - Ain't No Sunshine'
Whether you liked his music or not, one thing everyone has to appreciate is the legacy he left behind, hopefully people will remember him for this rather than the controversey surrounding his private life.
RIP The King Of Pop

just finished watching two back to back episodes of the new East-End London Gangster drama, hosted on sky one called The Take.
it takes a look inside the lives of two best friends Freddy and Jimmy (typical bold print cockney hard men names lol), who are both poles apart in idea's, moral's and lifestyles, like yin and yang, but the better one can never seem to shake off the poision, thus causing a lot of havoc around the east end.
some gritty scenes, cold but realistic actors and unconventional good old british screenplay along with all the little details which have been carefully crafted to take a step back in time to the 80's, with shell suits, ford capris and even a bit of UB40.
unfortunately a coki no show, but sukh knight, stanza and stenchman absolutely smashed it. the stenchman and true tiger spontaneous back to back was a highlight. mosh pits and all sorts courtesy yours trully. also, a nice warm up from live dub group gentleman's dub club.
yesterday i was not necessarily shocked but saddened by Martin Laursen's (Denmark international and Aston Villa's most solid defender) announcement to retire from professional football at the age of 31 due to an on-going knee problem. the centre back is defiinitely up there with my all time favourites, his commitment to the game, consistency and profound ability have cemented this. when on his game, Laursen was definitely one of the premiership's best centre halves, although unsung. had Laursen not picked up a knock late last year, i am sure we would have pipped Arsenal to 4th spot with ease!
