Orange Unsigned Act

Ive followed this competition for the last few weeks, concept is exactly the same as Xfactor and other such shows just a bit more 'underground' and 'cool'.
The main reason i followed it was to follow the Scarlet Harlots from Birmingham and one of which is associated with the much loved Bigger Than Barry nights.
The Final saw 2 bands, the Scarlet Harlots, Hip Parade and the solo artist Tommy Reilly go up against each other and the winner decided by the public.
Personally trying to keep an un-biased descision i honestly thought Scarlet Harlots were definatly the better act giving an origional approach to their music, the others, although being very good musicians seemed a bit standard and didnt take much of a chance in their songs.
The Winner was Tommy Reilly who im not sure if he was very bashful in his new record deal with Universal and his £60,000 advance or he was just dopey as he had acted this way throughout the whole competition.

Scarlet Harlots will be performing at chicks dig jerks at the rainbow pub on the 31st and a few other events that follow, I beleive this band can go long way and wish them all the best.

most certainly the best gig ive ever attended and one of the best fucking days ever. period

well worth the trip to Milton keynes and the money,and was the most perfect day for weather in 2008

the release of the footage from the day has just arrived, and so upon purchasing the DVD , ive decided to re-cap.

with a punding line up from some big names, inlcluding Jay-Z (the day after his controversial Glasto set) NERD , Pendulum and the lads of Enter Shikari.

and just for the record, Projekt Revolution has been running since the band started...almost ten years, and had never hit the UK before.......they reach us, and we make it the biggest one to date!

Jigga, who indeed joined the lads on stage for some of the LP-JZ tracks!

Other Night.

So a chill thing was planned around shaun's due to a general crank being needed and because brad and i had returned from liverpool earlier that day.

It was a great night, with a delicicious spread being laid out by a man like shaun.

Adulthood was watched (due to unforseen technology problems with the games console!!).

Then a revamp of the 360 led to pro being played early into the morning.

Couple mans got embarrased by shirgs and I, so we soon decided to switch it off and take an adventure. 

The destination..

Beacon Hill(s?).

Took some shots and had some jokes.

I got back to mine at 7 and slept the rest of the day.

It was a good catch-up and a good night, even though shaun's electricity meter kept needing 100% attention off folz, who had the bag of shillings.

my car broke down so we had mans under the bonnet at 4 in the morning outside foley's house.

Hold tight folz providing the water, but it was to no avail.

We concluded that the fan-belt had gone.

Hopefully no long term damage!

That car has taken us on many good adventures.
