KANYE WEST x LOUIS VUITTON

Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers.
Mr.West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.”

N YES , Kanye didnt forget the ladies as well..

i personally dont think much bout em, but ladies ones look pretty cool..

London.

Nothing long..
It was a very good trip.

Brass Eye

This without a doubt, one of the funniest things ever. This mocumentry of course is famous for dupping celebrities into believing outrageous facts, while getting them to endorse them on camera! watch it all...its worth it.

Orange Unsigned Act

Ive followed this competition for the last few weeks, concept is exactly the same as Xfactor and other such shows just a bit more 'underground' and 'cool'.
The main reason i followed it was to follow the Scarlet Harlots from Birmingham and one of which is associated with the much loved Bigger Than Barry nights.
The Final saw 2 bands, the Scarlet Harlots, Hip Parade and the solo artist Tommy Reilly go up against each other and the winner decided by the public.
Personally trying to keep an un-biased descision i honestly thought Scarlet Harlots were definatly the better act giving an origional approach to their music, the others, although being very good musicians seemed a bit standard and didnt take much of a chance in their songs.
The Winner was Tommy Reilly who im not sure if he was very bashful in his new record deal with Universal and his £60,000 advance or he was just dopey as he had acted this way throughout the whole competition.

Scarlet Harlots will be performing at chicks dig jerks at the rainbow pub on the 31st and a few other events that follow, I beleive this band can go long way and wish them all the best.

Back in tha day....

Reminiscing the otha day and thought of these tracks, Im probs gonna get grilled for doin this but....oh well lol

My Turn

was discussing revision music earlier and i ended up taking a youtube trip down musical memory lane, here's a few of my favourites over the years...

Obama Inauguration.

Trying not to jump on the bandwagon, just thought i would document a pretty important change not just for America but hopefully for the rest of the world too.
I know it doesn't directly relate to us here in the UK but still, anything has got to be better than Obama's predecessor..
It's a good day, with many millions of people from all backgrounds celebrating these historic moments.
A few pictures below just to represent.

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." Barack Obama

Projekt Revolution- DVD release- "Road To Revolution"

29-6-08

most certainly the best gig ive ever attended and one of the best fucking days ever. period

well worth the trip to Milton keynes and the money, and was the most perfect day for weather in 2008

the release of the footage from the day has just arrived, and so upon purchasing the DVD , ive decided to re-cap.

with a punding line up from some big names, inlcluding Jay-Z (the day after his controversial Glasto set) NERD , Pendulum and the lads of Enter Shikari.

and just for the record, Projekt Revolution has been running since the band started...almost ten years, and had never hit the UK before.......they reach us, and we make it the biggest one to date!

Jigga, who indeed joined the lads on stage for some of the LP-JZ tracks!
the PR08 scaliwags
Milton Keynes Bowl Arena-breathtaking,in fact , so breathtaking i went for a piss right after this was taken.

watching it is making me smile so much.that day will live forever, AND after only 17 minutes of the DVD being on, ive managed to scope myself jack gaz rich and ant joining in some pit action!

noiceee..

PR.MKB.29-6-09

Other Night.

So a chill thing was planned around shaun's due to a general crank being needed and because brad and i had returned from liverpool earlier that day.
It was a great night, with a delicicious spread being laid out by a man like shaun.
Adulthood was watched (due to unforseen technology problems with the games console!!).
Then a revamp of the 360 led to pro being played early into the morning.
Couple mans got embarrased by shirgs and I, so we soon decided to switch it off and take an adventure.
The destination..
Beacon Hill(s?).
Took some shots and had some jokes.
I got back to mine at 7 and slept the rest of the day.
It was a good catch-up and a good night, even though shaun's electricity meter kept needing 100% attention off folz, who had the bag of shillings.
:)

Pictures..

Which one of the kic pics to go for banner? brad and i couldn't decide so thought i would post first.. i've also got a birms one, which i thought would be good.
It's a democracy people, state your view on the comments section.
If not, i'll probably just go with whatever.

OK, got to do some revision now!

MF Doom - Ballskin

fresh from his soon to come album 'born like this'

The North Face

a very popular and well established brand, traditionally for its technical purpose and more recently for its 'fashionable' associations. to celebrate it's 40th anniversary the north face has created a very interesting website featuring new products and concepts. however, these releases look to be japan only but that is not the purpose of the post. the website features pictures from the north face's product catalogues through the decades, from black and white to colour. i really enjoyed looking at how the materials have developed as well as design shapes and uses of colurs, which is an obvious trend among outdoor clothing over the years. some of the backpack and jacket silhouettes represent what is familiar in the portfolios of some of todays top designers and the most highly regarded brands. however, i would love the north face to look in to re-releasing some of this stuff; the daypack from spring/summer 1977 looks especially promising as well as the sierra short parka from winter 1978.

Hip-Hop 101

Big Pun - Twinz (Deep Cover '98)(WARNING! Feat. Fat Joe)

Listen to this track and tell me Big Pun isnt one of the greatest lyricists ever! (You know Pun wrote Joe's lyrics in this track)

Black Milk - Losing Out (Feat. Royce Da 5'9'')

Ask Goals bout Black Milk hes a serious producer!.....ive been playing this song none stop for bout a week now, the sample is crazy. The next Dilla? have a listen to his album you decide.

Krs-One - Sound of Da Police

Had to drop a classic on here, and who better than 'The Teacher', does the 3rd bar sound familiar?? Kanye sampled the line for Jay-Z track Takeover

Random Rainbow Rave.

Just a cuple pics from that one.
Was an OK night.
A few funny stories, one being..
my car broke down so we had mans under the bonnet at 4 in the morning outside foley's house.
Hold tight folz providing the water, but it was to no avail.
We concluded that the fan-belt had gone.
Hopefully no long term damage!
That car has taken us on many good adventures.
And as shaun said, "it's not about how new it is, it's about how much life it got left blud"

True Story.

Greets from Liverpool.
