After an A-block party that was pretty successful, most of the people planned to go to the party that was being held in our hall grounds, at the renowned 'carni bar'. Personally i was not feeling this and had therefore decided not to buy a ticket, luckily i managed to round up a few others with similar views. Hold tight dan, george, kathryn, mani, hannah, rich and kate. We continued the block party for a little while whilst the others went and raved it up in the carni bar... i say that loosely, (when i walked by later it hardly seemed liveo).
When the clock hit 12ish we rounded up a few others who wanted to join, and hit the town lol.
Our destination, Indication at Le bateau.
I had heard big things so was expecting alot.
The music was good with indie essence at heart but dropping the occasional Jay-z and Dizzie track. Vibes were nice and the crowd size/enthusiasm was ample.
Stayed there till about 2ish. Some people wanted to leave, some wanted to stay.
The general consensus was to depart, so we hit the road.
I was in communication with brad throughout the night, who was on his own ting and at this point he had text me saying he was heading out of town now too.
Neither of us knew the fiasco that was about to unfold...
The taxi situation was a nightmare!! (excuse the pun..?? :P)
I will not prolong the story but basically it was freeeezing cold and there were no free taxis anywhere! Some people in our group were extremely mash-up and this added to the unorganisation of the rest of the night.
We walked through the whole of town looking for taxis, and finally ended up in a mahhussive taxi-rank queue.
Randomly brad ran past me (in shorts?!?! lol) and it seems he was having the same problem. Taxis were in sparse supply and despite the bitter cold, people were getting heated about it.
Vibes all-round were not good and most people were shouting and walking round screw-face all up in a man's grills.
I was not happy.
We eventually got back at 4.30-5ish after waiting HOURS for a taxi.
Despite all the mess at the end of the night, it was generally pretty good.
Pics of the night:
(Battery ran out whilst in indication so the visual documentation ends there)
George-acula??
This girl was out of it.
One for the Vice DOs and DON'Ts maybe??
Some guy was wasted on the bus and started punching the ceiling.
That's his blood there by the way
lol?
Le Bateau seemed pretty friendly.
I liked the place :)
Hold tight Indication DJs.
Dressed-up and looking the part.
A snap picture of ya'boi :)
