Cotton wool kids?

Theres been alot about the state of Englands kids lately and how they are being smothered by over protective parents, when i was a kid i was always geting hurt and its done me no harn apart from a bent finger and a few scars but thats all part of growing up right?

Ive recently come across a new 'type' of skateboard by a designer called Didi Dunphy, they were origionally designed for indoors however their main objective is that the kids playing on them wont get hurt. It was just meant to be like an interior design, not meant for mass production however has actually been adapted into a product. As a skater o see half the fun of skating is trying not to get hurt, thats the 'extreme' side of it, another massive problem is that the boards have no grip tape, obviously this is to prevent harm but doing any tricks would be made stupidly hard. Personally i think its rediculous but i want to hear other peoples views.

its still gonna hurt when you fall off on to concrete or whatever and i don't think an inch of quilting would make any difference to an horrific land-on-board accident
