that post about Obey x PE got me thinking about my collection of Public Enemy stuff, and A Force going on about the Beasties got me racking through my vinyl collection for my glorious Hip-Hop artefacts that follow:
when i say im a fan, i aint fucking around
high lighted items from the Beastie lot contatin :
- "7 single of Fight For Your Right (may i add, this song hasnt been performed live by them since like '89 or something stupid like that, as they wanted to ditch that image they held back then)
-2 DVDs which have the funniest running commentray, and spoof videos featuring Slipknot and System, haha
- bare singles that i picked up all in one go at Fopp records, Edinburgh back when i was like 11, with sick B-Sides and Demo's
-some posters and shit, some 12"'s too.
highlighted items from the Public Enemy lot contain:
-signed "7 single of Dont Believe The Hype, signed by Chuck D and Flavour Flav ;)
-Signed MADLY rare live album, again, by Chuck D and Flavour Flav
-tickets and flyers of the Wolvo gig (ask Shirgs.....sick night man, truly sick)
- a few very rare 12" albums, including Shut Em Down, which ive played once, 'cuz its a LTD edition re-cut
- Very rare Colour Single of Shut 'Em Down
-Vinlys that were some of my first purchases for my turn tables, that i racked from Oxfam for a mere £1 each, along with some RUN DMC vinyls ;)
check 'em...
nuther old skool hip-hop post from your old skool hip-hop specialist here on KIC
